This was truly a revelation. I was getting started with funeral doom, working on something with my headphones on... Then came Déluge... my jaw actually dropped, I stopped what I was doing and, wide-eyed, just listened to the track, baffled and amazed. After the album was over (I never do this), I went to lay down with my headphones to enjoy it over again.
I rarely heard (and felt) this much power and emotion in an album. Until I find something better, this is my landmark for peak funeral doom. fluo

Déhà n'a jamais caché son admiration pour Shape of Despair et on ressent l'influence de ce groupe dans cette démo qui accompagne la naissance de Slow sobrement intitulée I. Dans ce beau morceau de funeral doom metal, c'est la dimension atmosphérique qui est la plus importante, faisant office d'ouverture, de conclusion et même d'interlude ; la guitare et la batterie sont joués avec parcimonie — ils n'apparaissent d'ailleurs qu'au bout de cinq minutes. very atmospheric. when it gets going. it's so good.bit like watching the snooker or darts. not fast pace in fact very slow but I don't want to switch it off till it's over J K A m c 8216
