Le confinement a été pour Déhà l'occasion de dévoiler d'autres facettes de sa personnalité. Sur Blaspheme, il joue du death/black metal bête et méchant et, même si cette démo dépasse à peine le quart d'heure, il a le temps de cocher toutes les cases : des thèmes satanistes, un son gras et des vociférations animales. J'ai dit bête et méchant ? Peut-être pas si bête que ça : Blaspheme va quelque part et chaque piste cherche à être plus violente que la précédente. Venant de Déhà, c'est l'évidence !

Déhà needs no introduction... :) I wonder if there is any style at all that Déhà might struggle with? I think the answer is a loud & clear no! He has definitely got the Midas touch! Highly recommended!!! @ MJ: What a great idea... :)

To think I could have been listening to this for almost three years already... At least I am here now! Not sure I need any lessons in despising humanity as I seem to be quite proficient at this already - just ask my colleagues! This music is stunningly awesome! Déhà has a way with notes like few others! You need to listen to all of this, there are so many variations here & so very much to unpack! Highly recommended!!!

I missed it too, MJ! I'm captivated by the history of guitar music – especially juxtaposed with the racism & bigotry so often found here. We can trace our origins back through Sabbath, R&B, Chicago, segregation, the Delta, slave ships, Africa. The origin of humans and human culture. Out through Mesopotamia, then east or west, take your pick. This album has Middle Eastern chants, shamanic drum circles, European house, & a host of heavy guitar music from doom to dissonant. A total history lesson!
